Virginia Commissioner Kyud Harry Mansberger
Harry Mansberger was born in Germany and came to the U.S. in 1956. He was the son of a military man, so he moved round a lot, until settling in New Jersey in 1960.
In his later teen years, Harry tried his hand at Tae Kwan do and also judo. A knee injury cased him to quit judo.
Then in 1999, he was introduced to Kuntaw and the GGM Lanada. He started studying at the Virginia Beach recreation center. He continued to study and practice for several years. He attended several tournaments, but never participated. He was regularly promoted by practicing and knowing his forms, and also studying kali.
In 2012, he was asked to be the Kuntaw co-ordinator by the USA director, to assist him in weekly activities. In that same year he organized and attended the Kuntaw Seminar and gala night. He was promoted to 1st degree black belt then as well.
He married and moved to the Philippines and in December of 2012. He and his wife attended the Kuntaw Seminar/workshop in Trece Martirez in the Philippines. He was then promoted to 2nd degree. Upon returning to the U.S., he has been assist instructor teaching new students in basics, and continues to learn and practice his Kuntaw and Kali forms.
In March 2014, he attended the Kuntaw Lima-Lima Seminar and Workshop.
